What We Collect

Account Data

• Name and email address
• Authentication credentials are handled by Supabase Auth (we do not store or access your raw password)

Profile Data

• Profile photo and optional profile fields you provide

Usage and Plan Data

• Credits used
• Plan type
• Billing status
• Feature access

Content You Submit to AI

• Prompts
• Selected text
• Tool inputs used to generate AI responses

If Auto Page Context is enabled, TaskPilot may read and process visible page text to answer your question.

TaskPilot does not collect or store full browsing history. Page content is only processed when the user actively interacts with the extension.

Technical Data

• Basic logs needed to diagnose errors (e.g., feature failures, timeouts)

Why We Collect It

• Provide account sign-in and personalization
• Power AI features and return responses
• Enforce usage limits and manage subscriptions
• Improve reliability, performance, and support

We process data only to provide core product functionality. We do not use personal data for advertising purposes.

Where It's Stored

• Supabase: authentication, user profile data, and usage data
• Stripe: billing and subscription data (if you purchase a plan)
• OpenAI: AI processing (your AI inputs are sent to OpenAI to generate responses)

AI inputs may be processed by OpenAI in accordance with their privacy and data usage policies.

Sharing

We only share data with service providers that help deliver TaskPilot (Supabase, Stripe, OpenAI).

TaskPilot does not sell, rent, or trade user data.

Permissions & Data Access

TaskPilot may request access to all websites (<all_urls>) to allow features such as:

• Sidebar AI answers using page context
• Fact checking and highlight tools
• Prompt improvement tools on supported AI chat sites

When "Auto Page Context" is off, TaskPilot will not read page text for AI answers.

Retention

We retain account and usage data while your account is active.

Upon request for deletion, associated personal data will be permanently removed within a reasonable timeframe.

Your Controls

• Update your profile in the app
• Sign out anytime
• Request account deletion and data removal by contacting us

Security

We use standard security practices and rely on trusted providers (Supabase, Stripe, OpenAI). No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.

Children's Privacy

TaskPilot is not intended for children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy periodically. If changes are significant, we will update the "Last updated" date.
